Concept Development
and Design
Early on in the design process Acorn Design is able develop and refine ideas through sketches and photo realistic renderings. This helps communicate the idea and concept of the design at the beginning of the product development process.
We collaborate with our clients to work out how detailed they require the Concept Development and Design stage to be. In some cases it can be a simple, straight forward presentation, directed toward funding grants and other cases we provide much more detailed concepts and photo realistic renderings for upcoming shows and fairs. Ideas delivered at this stage can also be used in marketing and promotional material as well as website imagery.
3D Printing
Acorn Design is able to provide 3D printed models to help visualise the initial concept and aid in developing the ergonomics and functionality of the final product. Clients are able to asses the product features, size and proportions of the initial design before committing to production and manufacture.
Detailing
Acorn Design will take your product from the 3D files and create the 2D technical drawings.
Throughout the product development process we always keep in mind the best and most cost effective way of producing our client`s product. The Detailing stage is where we issue to our clients all the necessary 3D and 2D files for manufacture.
Manufacturing
and Production
Acorn Design are experienced in a wide range of manufacturing techniques, including, but not exclusive to, sheet metal, hydraulics, injection moulding, carbon fiber moulding, powder coating, anodizing, leather upholstery, foam moulding and casting. We have also dealt extensively with global manufacturing in Europe, Oceania, Asia, USA and Canada.
We believe in collaborating and working with our client`s existing teams of scientists, researchers, engineers, manufacturers and suppliers, to help develop and create a sucessful final product.
Support
Acorn Design believes in creating long term relationships. We continue to provide design, manufacturing and production support for many of our clients after a product has been released to market. These support services include updates to existing product lines as well as next generation/new product design and development.
